People would often disregard the fact that cry is part of expressing one's emotions. Just like laughing your heart out when you're crying, tears fall when you're sad. Though it is often linked to being weak, according to the David Wolfe website, it is the exact same opposite.

Crying is a natural way to reduce emotional stress that, left unchecked, has negative physical effects on the body, including increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease and other stress-related disorders."

When a person undergoes intense pain or emotions, crying can relieve the burden.
