'Gotham' Season 2 News & Update: New Episode to Introduce New Villain and Mr. Freeze

"Gotham" season 2 was dubbed as "The Rise of the Villains" as scoundrels are on the loose with a new character Dr. Hugo Strange. In the winter premiere, Mr. Freeze, also known as Victor Fries, was introduced along with his tragic story to save his wife.

Mr. Freeze will be seen going around and turning people into ice to be able to help his spouse, Nora (Kristen Hager), from a deadly sickness. However, Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) along with the GCPD will try their best to stop and arrest him.

But, a new villain named Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong) will come to his rescue and will try to get to him first before the police in the upcoming 13th episode, "A Dead Man Feels No Cold." From "Gotham's" next installment synopsis, Gordon, Bullock (Donal Logue) and Capt. Barnes (Michael Chiklis) will try to squeeze some information from Nora about the whereabouts of his husband.

And like what she did before, she will try her best not to spill anything to save Mr. Freeze. Later, he will comeback for his wife after he learned that his experiments are effective, but the GCPD is already waiting for him.

Also, in the promotional clip, Mr. Freeze is seen trying to escape the police headquarters by breaking through the walls while holding his freeze gun. He will shoot Gordon to drop the gun out of his hand when he sees Nora.

The GCPD, on the other hand, will try their best to catch him while being careful not to turn into ice sculptures. Meanwhile, "Gotham" persistently followed the rollercoaster life story of Oswald Cobblepot as something is bound to happen to him.

In a video, Dr. Strange has a harsh and evil psychoanalysis of the imprisoned Penguin. Hence, they just showed what his "intensive treatment programs" are about and it looks like the supervillain is afraid of what will happen.

"Gotham" Season 2 Episode 13 will air on March 7 at 8 p.m. EST.
