'Pokémon Sun', 'Pokémon Moon' Release Date, News & Update: Video Games to be Released for Nintendo 3DS

During the Nintendo Direct broadcast on Friday, Nintendo announced the release of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" for Nintendo 3DS this coming "Holiday 2016." The consumer electronics company, however, kept other details wrap and revealed little information about the upcoming game.

It has been said that the video games will have a synchronized release all over the world, like what they did with "Pokémon" and "Pokémon Y." The titles also come with nine different languages.

Moreover, the Nintendo Direct broadcast also gave a quick glimpse of the behind-the-scene development of the game. In fact, they showed a brief preview of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon's" concept art, but the actual gameplay and pre-rendered clips were not presented.

However, as expected from the leak, a video appeared to assert that "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" were indeed that seventh generation of Pokémon. Additionally, trademarks of the two video games already showed up in Europe's Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM).

The brand listings brought the logos of the two titles and Nintendo was under the name of its owner. The filing date was made on Feb. 25; hence, the company tried to hide this trademark information and further revealed at the Nintendo Direct broadcast.

Meanwhile, simultaneous with the preview's release was the unveiling of the previous "Pokémon Red and Blue" for the Nintendo 3DS virtual console. The  Pokémon official website revealed that the players can move their confined Pokémon from the primary 8-bit games to the Pokémon Bank that can be taken to the "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon."

Furthermore, an IGN report cracked down the Nintendo Direct video and uncovered that Pokémon can be used simultaneously with automobiles. In fact, the concept art showed Blastoise riding a firetruck and Machamp was in a pick-up truck.

It was also seen that "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" has tropical settings with palm trees and new building designs. However, this just might be an additional new city and not a new environment for the entire game.
