'Metal Gear Online' News & Update: Downloadable Expansion Pack, 'Cloaked in Silence,' Soon to Roll Out

"Metal Gear Online" is about to release its downloadable expansion pack called "Cloaked in Silence" on March 15, as announced by Konami. The DLC brings three new maps: the Coral Complex, Rust Palace, and Azure Mountain as well as a new character named Quiet.

Players who are going to buy the "Cloaked in Silence" add-on will have the privilege of the unlimited access to play the survival mode and new maps. Moreover, a new content that has the new "Survival" mode will also roll out for "Metal Gear Online" on April 7.

"Metal Gear Online" now has a multiplayer mode that can be played with a team of players. In the group battle, anyone who wins will have the highest streak and bigger rewards.

The new maps, on the other hand, can be enjoyed by gamers for free up to 10 times a week in the Survival competition. However, they have to wait every Tuesday for the game to reset when they reached the maximum match allowed.

"Metal Gear Online" can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 through "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain."

Meanwhile, the toy company, Gecco, created a new 1/6 Metal Gear Solid figure based on the new character from "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," Quiet. The creators revealed a well-detailed character complete with accessories like a detachable knife and handgun.

"Her powerful feminine pose contrasts beautifully with the long and hard sniper rifle in hand," Gecco said in a press release. People behind the success of the toy revealed that they carefully carved the figure from the very smallest details of her gun, ripper sheer and tights to make it more realistic.

Quiet's Gecco figure will be out in the market for $290 starting this summer. The toy company is also creating other "Metal Gear" displays for Snake and Raiden.
