MacBook Pro 2016 News & Updates: Current MacBook Gets Big Discount, Next-Gen MacBook to Be Released Soon?

Apple started to sell the current 15-inch MacBook Pro 2015 at a discount with freebies. This is a good clue that the release date of the MacBook Pro 2016 may happen soon.

Apple Insider reports that Adorama, an Apple authorized reseller, is offering its readers a free Canon PIXMA MG3520 Wireless AirPrint Inkjet Photo All-in-One Printer, free AppleCare extended warranty protection plans and additional cash discounts for every purchase of the 15-inch MacBook Pro.

The additional cash discount in Adorama's deal for every 15-inch MacBook Pro purchase can go as high as $440. For those customers who are not interested with the freebies, using the APINSIDER promo code will provide an additional $70 discount on all mid-2015 15-inch MacBook Pros on Adorama's offer.

Previous reports have speculated that the next-generation MacBook Pro would be released in December 2015, according to Muskeg News. A new Mac code was spotted last year and rumors have suggested that the code was designed for the new MacBook Pro. However, the same code could have been meant for different Apple products such as Mac Pro or iMac. Finally, the year 2015 has passed and the next-gen MacBook Pro has not been launched on the market yet.

Last updates on Apple's 12-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops were made in March and May of 2015 respectively. This means that new updates should really come sooner than later.

Consumers are waiting this year not only for the MacBook Pro 2016 but also for the MacBook Air 2016. Both Apple laptops are expected to retain their original sizes but will come with upgraded specs and features. The laptops will run on the latest OS X El Capitan and will be powered by Intel Skylake processors. Despite the speculations and rumors, Apple still did not make any official statement regarding details about the release date of the two MacBooks.
