'Destiny 2' Release Date, News & Update: New Sequel Titled 'Beyond Destiny';

"Destiny" source named Geno leaked some information about the upcoming "Destiny 2." The informant revealed that the second sequel might be titled "Beyond Destiny" and may be released on Nintendo's upcoming game console, NX.

Game publisher Activision is eyeing to make the title playable with Nintendo NX. Bringing "Destiny 2" in the said platform will let gamers "play local and online multiplayer" modes among groups at the same time, per Game Rant.

This is because NX consoles, which are near each other, can be linked at the same time. Furthermore, the leak explained that Activision is really paying attention to employ the use of the upcoming Nintendo platform as it has a large user base that can help "Destiny 2." Hence, Activision will try to have the supporters of Nintendo if the game publisher and the consumer electronics company's collaboration pursue.

Meanwhile, Movie Pilot reports that Activision is going to launch a new "Destiny" expansion pack. However, there is very little information about the upcoming update called "The Taken King." Fans demand that it has to have a number of features and new developments.

The impending upgrade will be the biggest "Destiny" will ever have since its release in September 2014. However, the players who won't get "The Taken King" will be left out of "Destiny."

"The Taken King" proves that the video game company is trying to give what the gamers wanted for "Destiny." Game enthusiasts are hoping that the entire expansion Bungie is going to release will have the same high quality.

Furthermore, Bungie revealed that the upcoming "Beyond Destiny" will be released in 2017. However, the surfacing leak goes more specific, suggesting that it will be launched in the holiday season of 2016.
