'Vikings' Season 4 Spoilers, News & Update: Episode 4 Synopsis Revealed; King Aelle Promised To Kill Ragnar

It looks like the upcoming Episode 4 of "Vikings" Season 4 will be full of blood as King Aelle promises to kill the pagan king. In "Vikings" Season 4 Episode 4 synopsis, the Vikings will celebrate Christmas time, but knowing the characters of the drama series, it will not be merry.

According to Design & Trend, in the new teaser of "Vikings," King Aelle will come back to Wessex for Christmas to finish off the life of Ragnar Lothbrok. However, it has not been disclosed why the King of Northumbria wants to kill the King of Denmark.

Ragnar Lothbrok died in a well full of poisonous snakes where King Aelle threw him when he was arrested in Northumbria. "How the little pigs would grunt if they knew how the old boar suffers!" were the words of the founder of House Lothbrok.

The term "little pigs" was Ragnar Lothbrok's sweet nothing for his sons, who succeed by taking revenge for the death of their father by starting a 14-year invasion of England. However, "Vikings" fans don't have to worry even if Season 4 will be the end of Ragnar Lothbrok as "Vikings" will still continue without him.

In fact, Michael Hirst, the creator of "Vikings," not just revealed that "Vikings" Season 4 will be longer compared to the previous seasons, but also will continue to "run and run." The 63-year-old "Vikings" screenwriter told Radio Times that he already wrote five episodes for the "Vikings" and will bank more installments this year that could reach up to 16 chapters.

"I have a huge hope that we can continue [beyond that]," Hirst said. This just proved that even if Ragnar Lothbrok died, his sons will continue to pick up the "Vikings" story. Hence, the Irish-Canadian historical drama television series is based on the "well-documented" mythology and history of the Viking leaders.

"I always anticipated continuing with Ragnar's sons because many of them became as famous, if not more famous, than he was," Michael Hirst added. "Vikings" series two will be watched on March 24 on History at 10 p.m.
