Kris and Bruce Jenner Announce Separation; Says She ‘Wants to Date Younger Men’

Kris Jenner is now a free woman! The celebrity mother and husband Bruce Jenner announced their separation after 22 years of marriage.

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the couple told E! in a statement. "But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

But, Kris and Bruce maintained that they would not let the separation affect their friendship.

"There is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family. ... We ended a marriage, but that's not the end of our friendship. I will always love him, but we are longer a couple in that way."

The couple has not filed for divorce yet. On her wedding anniversary in April, 57-year-old Kris posted a photo of herself with Bruce captioning, "Happy Anniversary Bruce!!!! Best 22 years I could ever have imagined...hope the next 22 is even more fabulous...I love you!"

In recent episodes of 'Keeping up with the Kardashians,' 63-year-old Bruce was seen moving to his beach house alone saying he needed more space. Following this, the media speculated that the marriage was almost over. But, Khloe Kardashian, Kris's daughter from her previous marriage to Robert Kardashian, rubbished the rumours saying the couple "like to live apart" even though "they're not having problems."

But a source close to the Kardashians told HollywoodLife that Kris wanted to end the relationship so she could date younger men.

"The separation was Kris' idea. She's tired of being held down. She wants to date, and she wants to date younger men," a friend of the Kardashian family told the entertainment website. "Kris and Bruce were fighting nonstop and Bruce was tired of Kris treating him like a second-class citizen."

The announcement came amid the reports of Khloe's troubled marriage to NBA star, Lamar Odom. Apparently, Lamar cheated on Khloe. He has also been suffering from drug addiction issues. Though Khloe hasn't put down divorce papers yet, she is very anxious to end the marriage. However, she is scared that Lamar will never be able to recover if she leaves him, reports TMZ.
