Charlie Hunnam, Morgana McNelis Engaged: ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Actor Defends Girlfriend, Asks Fans to Stop Bashing Her

"Sons of Anarchy" actor Charlie Hunnam recently asked a good friend of his to post his sentiments regarding his longtime girlfriend and rumored fiancé, Morgana McNelis. The 35-year-old actor defended his girlfriend from fans who have been sending McNelis with harsh messages.

Charlie Hunnam may not have any social media account that he manages on his own, but the "SoA" actor was able to find a way to air his sentiments to his fans and avid supporters. According to Socialite Life, Hunnam asked his friend, who has been managing his Facebook fan page, Tina Lou, to post his message regarding his girlfriend.

"It has been brought to my attention that there is a group of immature girls posting a large number of harsh messages aimed at my long time girlfriend. I would respectfully ask you to stop doing this," he said.

The "Pacific Rim 2" actor went on and said that his girlfriend, Morgana McNelis is the love of his life who has been with him for the last 11 years of his life.

"She is an intelligent, beautiful, kind person who just tries to live a simple life and has nothing to do with the entertainment industry," Hunnam added.

Hunnam further asked his fans to stop bashing McNelis in any way to show their support for him. He also stated that McNelis is one of the kindest people he has ever known and does not deserve this kind of treatment from his fans. The post, however, has been deleted from the page.

The publication further stated that Lou was bashed after posting the message on behalf of Hunnam. The "Crimson Peak" actor, therefore, filmed a video of himself directly addressing his fans and validating that he was the one who wrote the post.

Meanwhile, an earlier interview with Taylor magazine offered insights about Hunnam and McNelis' secrets to making their relationship strong.

"I think the key to maintaining a good balance is creating a safe space within the relationship for both partners in which to grow and evolve," McNelis said.

Will Charlie Hunnam's video message be enough to stop all the hate directed towards his girlfriend, Morgana McNelis?
