Parents of Cyberbully Denies 14-Year-Old Daughter did it, Said Facebook Was Hacked [VIDEO]

A 12-year old Florida girl Rebecca Sedwick jumped off an abandoned factory building last month after being bullied in person and online by a group of 15 girls for over a year. Police arrested two girls who were the main bullies in the ordeal on Tuesday. Parents of the 14-year-old ring leader, Guadalupe Shaw, say she couldn't have done it and her Facebook account must have been hacked, according to ABC News.

After Rebecca was found dead, Guadalupe Shaw posted a status message to her Facebook account which read: ""Yes ik [I know] I bullied Rebecca nd she killed her self but IDGAF [I don't give a (expletive)]."

The message prompted police to arrest her and 12-year-old Katelyn Roman. .

"We knew that there was total disregard for life, and if she would say those things after she bullied Rebecca and after the parents knew that, we had to act more quickly," Sheriff Grady Judd, from Polk County, Fla., told "Fox and Friends" Wednesday morning.

Shaw and Roman began bullying Rebecca after a dispute broke out when Shaw started dating Rebecca's ex-boyfriend. Sheriff Judd said Roman was once Rebecca's best friend but later turned on her.

Meanwhile, Guadalupe Shaw's parents described her as being a "lovable," "caring" girl who was not a bully. Shaw has six other siblings and the parents, who chose to not be named, said they "pride themselves on their involvement with their children's lives."

Shaw's mother denies her daughters involvement in the incident and says it's impossible she won't that coldhearted message on Facebook. "I would check her Facebook every time she would get on it," the suspect's mother told ABC news in an interview.

Sherriff Judd was unsatisfied with their justification.

"You tell me that there's not parents, who instead of taking that device and smashing it into a 1,000 pieces in front of her child, says, 'Oh, her account was hacked?' We see where the problem is," he told Fox News.
