Beatles Producer George Martin Passes Away: 'Game Of Thrones' Fans Panic

The fifth Beatle, music producer George Martin, passed away at the age of 90. The Beatles producer's demise, however, caused a wave of panic among "Game Of Thrones" fans who have anxiously been waiting for novelist George R.R. Martin to complete "Winds Of Winter" and "A Dream Of Spring." In a comedy of errors, "GoT" fans mistook Sir George Martin for "Game Of Thrones" co-writer and "A Song Of Fire And Ice" novelist George R.R. Martin.

According to New York Daily News, "Game Of Thrones" fans have been taking to social media to express their relief that the "Game Of Thrones" writer is still alive. The reaction from the "Game Of Thrones" fandom had been immense that George R.R. Martin had to issue a response.

"While it is strangely moving to realize that so many people around the world care so deeply about my life and death, I have to go with Mark Twain and insist that the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated," George R.R. Martin stated.

The Telegraph reports that George R.R. Martin wrote on his blog that he never had the opportunity to meet Sir George Martin. However, the "Game Of Thrones" writer did chance upon The Beatles member Paul McCartney in Four Seasons in Beverly Hills. George R.R. Martin further said that he is a fan of The Beatles. For him, the music of The Beatles should be honored.

Daily Mail reports that The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr announced Sir George Martin's passing via social media. The son of The Beatles legend John Lennon, Sean Ono Lennon, expressed his own grief over Sir George Martin's death. The Beatles singer Paul McCartney said that Sir George Martin had been like a parent to him. British Prime Minister David Cameron, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and Queen guitarist Brian May are just a few others who expressed sorrow over Sir George Martin's death.

This is unsurprising as Sir George Martin rose to success through sheer talent and hard work. He was a carpenter's son, who taught himself to play the piano just by listening to it. Eventually, all efforts paid off and Sir George Martin was rewarded a break in the music industry. He gave The Beatles their first record contract. Sir George Martin also produced for Kenny Rogers and Celine Dion.

In the meantime, "Game Of Thrones" fans, who have been waiting for "Winds Of Winter," would be happy to know that George R.R. Martin is still writing and editing. George R.R. Martin also said that he intends to stay alive for many more years beyond "Winds Of Winter," "A Dream Of Spring" and "Game Of Thrones."
