"Downton Abbey" has officially come to an end after Season 6, and while fans and viewers of the British drama are still hung over from the finale, it looks like there may still be a chance to see more of the show. Tom Cullen says that a movie "should definitely" happen.

A "Downton Abbey" movie is rumored to be in the works, as many fans and viewers continue to ask for a continuation of the story. The series, which ran for six seasons of TV, officially came to an end last Sunday, Mar. 6.

Many fans and viewers of the hit British drama still couldn't get over the fact that "Downton Abbey" Season 6 is the show's series finale. Many fans noted that the show could have lived on for two more seasons on TV, which meant that it could provide a better ending for the characters.

However, it looks like fans may get their wish come true, as Tom Cullen recently shared with E! News that there is a possibility that a "Downton Abbey" movie would happen sometime in the future.

"I think people would be up for it, people would watch it," he said. "And I think it would be a very nice way to finish it off."

Cullen also said that the "Downton Abbey" movie was a big possibility as long as the cast, crew and the audience are willing to see more of the show - this time, on the big screens.

"If they really want to do that, they should definitely do that," Cullen added.

While the "Downton Abbey" movie is yet to be confirmed, The New York Times compiled a list of shows similar to the series for fans who "may already be feeling an acute sense of Dowager Countess withdrawal."

Shows resembling "Downton Abbey" included "Mercy Street," "Call the Midwife," "The Paradise," "Upstairs, Downstairs" and "Peaky Blinders."
