Angelina Jolie, Heidi Montag Used Same Plastic Surgeon

Oscar winning actress, mother and humanarian Angelina Jolie has an unlikely connection to reality TV star Heidi Montag. The two both share the same plastic surgeon.

In 2010, the former Hills star went under the knife to get size-F breast implants, along with nine other procedures. However, the massive procedure left her with several health problems including back aches and Montag recently went under the knife again to remove her breast implants. Her decision to downsize was made after her implants nearly fell right down to her belly button.

"I couldn't conceptualize the weight of them in my body," Montag, 27, told Us magazine of her old implants. "They felt like bowling balls on my chest." Indeed, Montag decided this time around to downsize to a C-cup to help stop the back and neck problems and numbness in her arms that she previously was feeling.

Montag's surgeon happened to be Dr. Jay Orringer, who is the same surgeon who helped Jolie with her breast reconstruction surgery after her mastectomy.

Jolie, 38, surprised the world when she announced that she had the procedure to prevent the risk of breast cancer.

Orringer's patient wrote an op-ed in The New York Times in May, explaining her decision.

'My doctors estimated that I had an 87 percent risk of breast cancer and a 50 percent risk of ovarian cancer, although the risk is different in the case of each woman,' she wrote.

'I can tell my children that they don't need to fear they will lose me to breast cancer,' she wrote. 'It is reassuring that they see nothing that makes them uncomfortable. They can see my small scars and that's it. Everything else is just Mommy, the same as she always was.'

'I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.'

Following the double mastectomy, Angelina plunged right back into both her humanitarian and film work.
