Apple has kept a tight-lipped about the details of their Spring event last Monday. Due to the secrecy of the details, the rumor mills continue to speculate that it may include the much anticipated laptops MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016.

Come the big day and to everyone's disappointment, the powerful laptops were out of sight. Yes, the Cupertino-based tech giant did not introduce Mac Book Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 in their recently concluded event.

According to Heavy, Apple introduced a new iPhone SE with a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro. For MacBook users who are holding out on buying the latest MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, your wait will be longer. Per the report, MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 might be announced before WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), which is scheduled in June.

Many Apple users and fans were not pleased with the event. As Technology Review puts it, the biggest news in the event was the introduction of the smaller iPhone, iPhone SE. Apple will be celebrating its 40th anniversary on April 1, but their latest event cannot convince one that the company is in for huge surprises as they start a new year.

The introduction of MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 could have been great news for Apple fans. However, instead of these new laptops, per Mashable, the elephant in the room is Apple's legal battle with FBI about creating a software to guess the gunman's password who murdered 14 individuals in San Bernardino.

Aside from this, the Apple event continued with a less of a bang. As the reviewer describes it, "Maybe the products Apple launched weren't that interesting." It notes that yesterday's event was more of how the tech giant presents their new product in the midst of a fierce battle about security, privacy and public policy.

Since MacBook Pro and MacBook Air were not present yesterday, then fans should look forward to Apple's next event, which will happen in June. There are high chances that MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 will be unveiled before WWDC.
