Toddlers' Bedtime Excuses: Mom Shares Clever Excuses Her Toddler Gives For Not Going To Sleep

A mom listed down and shared to her blog all the clever excuses her toddler gives for not being able to sleep. Apparently, her toddler has a hundred excuses at bedtime from his in pain, he needs help in removing his tight shirt, to he can't find his pajama when in fact he's already wearing them.

Rachel, who goes by the name "Mumma McD" is a "sweary mom" of two preschoolers; aged four and two, according to Metro. The mom, who resides in Australia, said that she is currently experiencing intense sleep deprivation, thanks to her toddler, who claims to have a lot of excuses every night.

So, to vent out her emotions, the mom took it to her parenting blog Toilets Aren't For Turtles to share to all parents all of her son's hilarious excuses. Here are some of the reasons why her toddler won't sleep:

1. He toddler feeling too hot. He needs mommy to help readjust his covers.

2. There's a crocodile hiding under his bed. He wants mommy to kill it using a hammer.

3. He remembers his teddy which he lost six months ago. It's making her toddler sad.

4. His painting is still wet. He needs to check it just to make sure it's drying well.

5. He wants more milk. Although this may be to induce drowsiness, surely the child must be using it as a way to stall and get a treat at the same time.


6. He wants to drink water. But not from their glass, from a proper glass with a straw. Just like the one he saw at the shop.

7. He is sad because mommy will die. Then, her toddler will ask what die means.

8. His bed hurts him. So, he wants to sleep with mommy. On mommy's bed, please.

9. He needs to wee. But mommy needs to guard the bathroom just in case the dragon appear and attack him.

10. Ten minutes after the wee, he will go back to the bathroom to poo. This may perhaps be another stalling tactic.
