5 Struggles Of New Moms

Women, as they say, have special motherly instincts. Even without training, a mother would know how to care for her baby. Though they may have this instantly acquired skill that is fit for a parenting job, it is still not easy being a first-time mom.

According to Mail Online, first-time moms struggle in the first six months of their baby because they have to adjust and adapt to the changes in their life. They really won't enjoy their motherhood until their baby turns six months old.

Caring for a newborn needs the full time and full effort of a mother. Because of this instant change in lifestyle, mothers will likely experience unhappiness and depression. Here are some motherhood challenges that will tell a new mom is really struggling.

1.    Breastfeeding problems

Mothers are told that breastfeeding comes as a natural part of motherhood because babies instinctively look for their mom's breast and feed. As easy as it may sound, in reality, many first-time moms find it hard to breastfeed their baby.  According to Parents page, it may take several weeks of practice and extra effort to get it right.

2.    Sleep deprivation

In the first six months of the baby, a mom is already lucky to sleep at least 6 hours straight a day. Experienced moms will usually tell you to sleep when your baby is asleep but this can't be done easily since you would rather spend the time eating, cleaning baby stuff, or just watching over the baby as they sleep.

3.    Hating your husband or partner

Science may have a way to explain this stage but for husbands, they really are clueless why their partners always have a reason to get angry at them. Women would think that their partners are so insensitive to understand how hard it is being a mother. It has been said that the cause of this is motherhood stress.

4.    Wanting to be perfect in everything for their baby

Because of the motherly instinct, you always want to have a perfect, clean, safe environment for your children whatever it takes and if you fail, you get depressed. You have to accept that you make mistakes because you are not perfect.

5.    Feeling so emotional

This is because of the times that you are alone with your child. You feel helpless with all the struggles you had with your first born. Though you already know the basics of being a mom, you still have to learn many things to make your motherhood easy.
