'Doctor Strange' Release Date, News & Update: Director Scott Derrickson Teases Photo On The Set

The hype about "Doctor Strange" is starting to intensify as we near the film's release date. To make Marvel fans excited about "Doctor Strange's" arrival, director Scott Derrickson teases fans with a leaked photo on the set.

Are you excited to see Benedict Cumberbatch a.k.a "Doctor Strange" and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo in character? Well, you will see the pair below in their full costume. Director Scott Derrickson captioned the photo with a short note, "These dudes."

The photo featured Cumberbatch wearing a red cape. His costume, hairstyle and facial hair give him an impression of a dead ringer. Meanwhile, Ejiofor's costume was simpler and sober compared to what his characters wears in the comic book counterparts. He dons a green and grey ensemble without the high collar and gaudy finishing. Per IGN, it seems that the pair has a more friendly bond compare to their relationship in print.

Meanwhile, according to CinemaBlend, Baron Mordo is another sorcerer, whose role in the "Doctor Strange" film is still unknown. However, the photo and some rumors circulating online suggest that "Doctor Strange" and Mordo are working together in the said scenes.

In the "Doctor Strange" comics, Baron Mordo is a villain. Thus, Marvel Comics readers are wondering if this dynamic will be applied or changed in the film adaptation. However, overall, Benedict Cumberbatch is a perfect choice for the character and so is Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo who looks similar to his comic counterpart.

The story of "Doctor Strange" revolves around a brilliant surgeon whose hands were damaged in a devastating car accident. His hands were irreparable but instead of accepting defeat after damaging his greatest asset, he went on a journey to find healing and he found one that opens his mind to the mystic arts.

Parent Herald previously reported that "Doctor Strange" might introduce another Infinity Stone. If this is true, then Marvel fans will see the fifth Infinity Stone this year. Are you excited to see it?

"Doctor Strange" premieres on Nov. 4, 2016.
