According to Family Education, there is a growth rate of 7 to 15 percent annually for homeschooling, which means its gaining more and more popularity amongst families every year. Currently, there are two million children who are homeschooled.

The homeschooled kids are also reported to be doing as well as traditionally schooled children in standardized tests. Not only that, but homeschooling helps the kids develop into self-directed learners and, eventually, dependable employees.

1.     Flexibility. Homeschooling is good for children who are gifted with talents in music, acting or sports. They can be tutored at home while honing their skills. It is also appropriate for parents who are entrepreneurs and self-employed, military servicemen and servicewomen wherein they can manage their time well.

2.      Curriculum freedom. You can choose and develop a curriculum for your children rather than tied to the policies of Common Core. You can teach your children some skills that they can apply in everyday living. These include gardening, sewing and cooking among others.

3. Easy access to the curriculum. You can search homeschooling curriculum in the Goggle search. This would make your teaching easier.

Homeschool: Cons

1. On-going commitment and focus. In homeschooling, you do the teacher does such as daily lessons, assignments, grading, state education reports and so forth. It takes commitment and focus on doing these things.

2. It is regulated. There are policies and laws about homeschooling. It is advisable that before you begin your homeschooling you must know your state's law about it.

Traditional School: Pros

1. Socialization. It is significant for children to interact with other people especially with their friends. Traditional schooling offers this field.

2. Free to attend. What is good about traditional schooling is you can attend the public schools for free with complete required supplies.

3. Extra-curricular activities. Your children can involve with extra-curricular activities of the school. This can develop their talents.

1. Prone to violence and bullying. Violence and bullying may happen in schools. This may jeopardize your children if not monitor properly by the school officials.

2. General instructions. Some educators said that curriculum or what is being taught is not really keeping the children prepare for the future.
