Before you blame the media and other things that could be causing your child's anxiety, you might want to take a look at these common mistakes that parents do. These will make you aware and be more careful in handling your children to keep them from experiencing anxiety.

1. Worrying Too Much: Food NDTV posted that adding fuel to the fire of your child's emotions is a sign that you care too much about them. This also leads to you worrying so much about their situation in school, which is not contributing anything good for their mental health. If anything, you would only rile up their emotions up that eventually could lead to depression and anxiety. It is safe to say that you shouldn't worry too much about your kids and let them be.

2. Imposing Great Values: It is not bad that you teach your kids to have great values. The problem occurs when you impose your values to them that they start losing their identity. Even worst is when they get too attached to their parent's values that they tend to be obsessed with them. Suicide often happens to youth who think more about the values that their parents taught them, than the value of their own life.

3. Being Overprotective: Health Central reported that being overprotective over your kids could just make things worse when it comes to their mental health. Children end up more stressed and insecure, which then leads to anxiety.
