'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast, News & Update: 'Jurassic World 2' Star Chris Pratt To Join 'Infinity War' As Star-Lord

It is given that "Avengers: Infinity War" will be packed with new characters. Earlier reports suggest that the film will include over 60 unique Marvel characters, and one of them is "Guadians of the Galayx's" Star-Lord.

Star-Lord To Join "Avengers: Infinity War"

During the press event for "Captain America: Civil War," ComicBook.com asked the Russo brothers, which character they wanted to work, given that "Avengers: Infinity War" will be flooded with superheroes. Anthony Russo teases that the "Jurassic World 2" star, Chris Pratt may join "Infinity War."

"[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited," Anthony Russo told the publication.

Thor Will Return in "Avengers: Infinity War"

For Marvel fans who love Thor, it's a bit sad that he is missing in "Civil War" but the God of Thunder is set to join "Avengers: Infinity War." Joe Russo said that he is excited to work with Thor again and teases that "Thor: Ragnarok" will have an influence in "Avengers: Infinity War."

"They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound," Joe Russo said. "I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that."

James Gunn Does Not Want A Crossover

Is it possible for Marvel fans to see a "Guardians of the Galaxy" crossover in "Avengers: Infinity War" when James Gunn already expressed his lack of interest in it? In an interview with Screen Junkies, Gunn explained that Avengers and Guardians have different worlds. Guardians have its own galaxy while the Avengers have the Earth. He advised fans not to assume that Guardians will play in Avengers film.

Per CinemaBlend, it was not Gunn's first time to express his dislike about a potential crossover in "Avengers: Infinity War." In a different event, Gunn revealed that "Guardians of the Galaxy" is not subservient to the events in "Avengers."

"Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 will premiere on May 4, 2018. "Avengers: Infinity War" Part 2 will drop on May 3, 2019.
