'Star Wars Episode VIII' Release Date, News & Update: Jedi Master to Return? Mark Hamill to Unveil Secrets? [Rumor]

"Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" was a phenomenal hit that awakened the excitement that the famous Lucas-made series has sparked decades ago, and now, a new sequel is coming. What could possibly happen in the sequel, "Star Wars Episode VIII"?

SPOILER ALERT! While the details in this write-up are mere rumors, the information just might happen in the movie. Should you wish to avoid possible spoilers, try reading this article about a Han Solo video instead. His fate in "The Force Awakens" is known by perhaps everybody anyway.

A Jedi Master Returns?

Rumors of a Jedi master returning to the franchise have come up, reports Slash Gear. The rumor comes from Making Star Wars, which revealed reports of Frank Oz heading to Pinewood Studios, where the movie is reportedly being filmed. Oz is known for playing the role of Jedi master Yoda in the earlier "Star Wars" movies, including the prequel episodes 1, 2 and 3.

MSW notes that Oz could have probably come to the studios to be their "Star Wars" consultant, or that he may have been working on voicing Yoda, as well as operating his puppet. Should the information be true, it could mean that Yoda will show up in "Episode 8," to the joy of many fans. Finally, there returns a Jedi master - to Snoke's demise.

A Jedi Reveals His Secrets?

Meanwhile, Yoda's last student, Luke Skywalker, is apparently having fun teasing fans via social media posts. Actor Mark Hamill has posted several quirky items on the internet, one of them including a reveal and another one a tease.

First, Hamill posted that he will be unveiling the plot for "Star Wars Episode VIII" if his post is shared or retweeted 21,000 times. Well, so far, the retweets have only amounted to a little more than 2,700, probably because the tweet was posted April 1, on April Fool's day.

Next, during Daisy Ridley's birthday, Hamill posted a photo of what appears to be a tribute to Luke's and Yoda's training, where the master rides on the back of the student. But this time, it's Luke riding on the back of Rey.

What do you think? Will Yoda return for "Star Wars Episode VIII?" What about Mark Hamill's antics? Share your opinion in the comments section below.
