MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, News & Update: Apple Will Stop Producing MacBook Air, Will Focus More On MacBook Pro

There are emerging news that Apple is planning to stop producing MacBook Air and will focus more on improving MacBook Pro. As MacBook Pro 2016 is about to release this year, it looks like there's no MacBook Air line to be introduced.

MacBook Pro To Replace MacBook Air

According to BGR, Jack March, who is giving accurate predictions about MacBook Air last year, was informed by a source that Apple is not about to launch new MacBook Air models this year. "It's more likely that Apple will launch new MacBook Pro's that are thinner (at thickest point) and lighter than the current MacBook Air models," he said.

The report claimed Apple will concentrate on producing MacBook with 12-inch Retina display and thinner MacBook Pro. "It's more likely that Apple will launch new MacBook Pro's that are thinner (at thickest point) and lighter than the current MacBook Air models," March explained.

He also concluded that the upcoming 13-inch MacBook Pro is Apple's replaced to the much-awaited MacBook Air with Retina display. Apple is not yet making any announcement about the release of MacBook 2016 lineup but, some says there will also be 15-inch MacBooks coming up inspired by the current 12-inch MacBook.

MacBook Release Date and Specs

However, Ecumenical News reported there are hearsays that the impending Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June is about to introduce the first unit of MacBook Pro 2016. But, some analysts believe Apple will launch MacBook Pro earlier this year.

It has been said MacBook Pro 2016 will be powered by Intel's latest Skylake processors with 256 GB of internal storage space. MacBook Pro is also believed to carry multiple USB Type-C ports and Thunderbolt 3, as per International Business Times. Reports suggested MacBook Pro will have a starting price of £899 or almost $1,300.
