Justin Bieber's Dad Helped Block off Street Where Pop Star Was Drag Racing

Justin Bieber was arrested early Thursday morning in Miami, Fla. for drag racing and driving under the influence, and for those wondering where on Earth the 19-year-old's parents are, the answer is nothing short of heartbreaking.

According to TMZ, Justin's dad, Jeremy Bieber, helped to block off the street where Justin and Def Jam signee Khalil Sharief were racing.

And it doesn't stop there.

Shortly after he was released from jail on $2,500 bond, CBS News 4 Miami reporter Gaby Fleischman tweeted a picture of Justin and his dad in a place near South Beach, empty bottles beside them.

"I can protect my kids, but I can't protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy," Jeremy tweeted early Friday morning.

According to the arrest report, Justin had a "flushed face, bloodshot eyes, and the odor of alcohol on his breath," CNN said.

"At first, he was a little belligerent, using some choice words questioning why he was being stopped and why the officer was even questioning him," Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez told reporters, adding that the pop star "made some statements that he had consumed some alcohol, and that he had been smoking marijuana and consumed some prescription medication."

The Daily Mail Online says Justin has refused to board a private jet sent for him, instead opting to stay in Miami with his dad.

"The private plane was on standby all day," a source told the site. "It was really disappointing that he never got on it. Justin needs to get help now."
