Policeman Hands Teenager Justin Bieber Tickets As Part of Birthday Surprise

The parents of a teenager celebrating her 17th birthday tapped the help of a police officer to hand to their child surprise tickets for the concert of her idol Justin Bieber. The Bloomington police officer gamely took the challenge and gave Abigail Guthrie one of the most memorable birthdays of her life.

In the video posted below, Guthrie was seen being pulled over by Police Sgt. Brandon Lopossa. The former thought that she was being flagged down for a violation since the police officer asked for her license and car registration.

According to Fox 59, Guthrie made a turn near the Fairview Elementary School when police sirens started blaring. Lopossa told her that she did not signal early on before making the turn.

"Please let me off with a warning," the teenager can be heard whispering in the video. "It's my birthday!"

She was prepared to receive real violation tickets from the officer but to her surprise, she was handed tickets to Bieber's concert next week in Lousiville. "What the heck is this?" she shouted when she opened the envelope and saw the tickets. "I'm going to cry!"

Daily Journal said Guthrie's parents, Rachel and Troy, thought of a unique way to surprise their daughter. They then contacted Lopossa with the help Rachel's sister and started planning the birthday surprise.

"Birthdays, we have always tried to make our children feel special," Guthrie's mom told Daily Journal. "We try to find something exciting. She's grown up fast, but every birthday we always try to do something special."

The parents said that they knew anything with Justin Bieber will make their teenage daughter jump for joy. "It's the first time I've ever gotten pulled over, and it's on my birthday!" Guthrie said in the Daily Journal report.

"She's always liked Justin Bieber," Rachel added. "She loves concerts. She's just a big concert-goer."

The mom also said that Abigail was not expecting the surprise at all since they always talk her out of buying tickets for the concert, saying it is too expensive. "I know she's going to be excited because she has no clue," she noted.
