'Avengers: Infinity War' Cast, News & Update: Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury Set To Join The Infinity War

It has been reported that "Avengers: Infinity War" will be packed with 68 Marvel characters. It is anticipated that the Avengers will surely be there, including Thor and Hulk who are missing in "Captain America: Civil War." New reports suggest that Samuel Jackson's Nick Fury may also return in the "Avengers: Infinity War."

According to CinemaBlend, Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury is a staple in Marvel Cinematic Universe, since it was created. He could appear in almost any film, serving as the bridge of all the movies. He is a huge character in Phase One. However, his role was reduced to be like a cameo in Phase Two, where he only appeared in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Marvel fans are wondering if Nick Fury will appear in "Avengers: Infinity War" and what his role will be. Will Nick Fury be a significant character in Phase Three once again? How many films is he contracted to appear?

Samuel L. Jackson Joins "Avengers: Infinity War"

Fandango had the opportunity to speak with Samuel L. Jackson last week at the CinemaCon where he promoted "The Legend of Tarzan." The actor teases that he will be joining, "Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 and Part 2.

"I think I'm in Avengers 3 and 4, but I'm not in Civil War," Jackson told the publication confirming that Nick Fury will return in the two-part "Infinity War" film. However, his statement also suggests that Nick Fury will miss "Doctor Strange," "Black Panther" and "Guardians of the Galaxy 2"

Since Nick Fury will miss "Captain America: Civil War," the publication dared to ask him what side he will be if he is in "Civil War." "Ahhhh, I don't know. I haven't given it much thought," Jackson said, adding that whatever side he chooses won't get him in trouble. "I'm Nick Fury -- Nick Fury is above all that."

"Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1will hit the theaters on May 4, 2018. "Avengers: Infinity War" Part 2 will follow on May 3, 2019.
