Study: Penis Size Matters To Women, It Affects Their Perception Of How Attractive A Man Is

Men are conscious with the size of their manhood, even if most women put more emphasis on their emotional connection rather the size. However, a new study suggests that men should care because size matters, it affects women's perception of how attractive they are.

Why Size Matters?

Men placed great importance on the size of their penis. In fact, they talked about it and compared it with friends or searched online, if their size is average or below average. How did this thinking start?

According to NHS, many cultures associated penis size with masculinity. They believe that the size symbolizes virility, fertility, strength, ability and courage. This explains why men with a bigger manhood feel superior while those with average penis size have low self-esteem.

Size Affects Women's Perception Of Attractiveness

A new study suggests another reason men should be conscious of the size of their penis. The Sun reported that the size of a man's penis could significantly affect how attractive he is to women.

For the study, the researchers created 343 models and showed it to women by projecting a life-size photo onto the wall. The women were asked to rate each man on a scale of one to seven. The scientists learned that the most important factor was torso size, but the size of the manhood was as influential as height.

They compared the manhood with torso shape and height, which are popular factors to influence attractiveness. From that data, the researchers learned that a flaccid penis' size influences women's attraction to a man. The well-endowed models have higher ratings.

Joe reported that taller men who had more muscular physiques also scored higher on the test. The study concluded that women prefer larger penises with up to 5.1 inches (13cm) flaccid. However, surprisingly, when the length goes beyond 2.99 inches the extra attractiveness points per length decline.

The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
