‘I Ate Anything And Everything And Had A Blast’: Naya Rivera Shares Her Secret to Losing 60 Pounds After Giving Birth

Naya Rivera is the epitome of fitness even after giving birth in September despite indulging herself during pregnancy. The May cover star of Fit Pregnancy and Baby says she completely let herself go when she was pregnant.

Rivera admits that she had been craving for meats and sweets during the final months of her pregnancy. "Weight wasn't something I wanted to focus on, so I ate anything and everything and had a blast," the former Glee star shared with People.

Despite gaining 60 pounds, the 29-year-old actress had a blast during her pregnancy. The excess 60 pounds were all lost and she shares her secret to it, reports Daily Mail. Talking about losing weight with Fit Pregnancy and Baby, Rivera said she dropped all sugary snacks right after Josey Hollis was born. Between nursing, eating healthy and doing low-impact exercises during the first months after giving birth, she easily lost 30 pounds.

However, she admitted that losing the next 30 pounds was a bit more difficult. Since she was determined to go back to work, she hired a trainer and made a career goal of getting back into shape. "My closet was divided in half: On one side were maternity clothes and on the other side were clothes I thought I would never wear again," she says.

Rivera also admitted that she wasn't feeling motivated to work out but with the help of her trainer, they began working on her core with a lot of weight training. This is something she'd never done before, she shared. She also noted that a lot of dancing on Glee has helped her stay in shape before getting pregnant. "Muscle memory luckily kicked in," she says.

Rivera also shared how being a mother completely changed her world. "You're always going to wonder if you're doing things wrong, but that's what it means to be a mom, to care so much about someone else that you just want to be as perfect as possible," she told the magazine.
