Backstreet Boys Member Nick Carter Welcomes His First Child With 'Dead 7' Actress Lauren Kitt

Backstreet Boys heartthrob, Nick Carter is officially a dad after welcoming his first child with "Dead 7" actress, Lauren Kitt, on April 20. The couple is excited to show the world their baby boy named Odin Reign Carter.

Entertainment Online reported that the 32-year-old actress had to go through a grueling 30-hour labor before she gave birth to Odin at home. The two had managed to keep their pregnancy private and didn't even give much to the press regarding it, especially the name of their son. It was not until the first week of April that the 36-year-old singer revealed the name that they have in mind. The couple was really adamant in keeping their baby's name to the public. During the premiere of the movie "Dead 7," Carter told the press that he was instructed by his wife not to reveal it at that moment.

But now that the baby is born, Hollywood Life said that the former boy band member explained why they picked the name "Odin" for their son. Apparently, it means a "widely revered god," in Germanic mythology. It looks like the couple is preparing their son to be a hunk someday.

Aside from welcoming their first child, it is worthy to report that Nick Carter and Lauren Kitt's relationship are getting stronger. Carter only has sweet things to say about his wife's pregnancy, telling the press how "super cool" Lauren Kitt is. "Things are not over the top and changing, it is all gradual and comfortable," Nick Carter told Hollywood Life earlier this year. The "All American" singer also opened about how excited he is regarding fatherhood and how it could change his life.
