The show's producers have revealed that the title of "Castle" Season 8 finale episode is "Crossfire," which will delve with the season-long story arc involving LokSat. When the season was starting out, LokSat was established as a dangerous operation that could potentially leave those involved dead.

In speaking wtih the press, the producers once again reiterated this danger, by saying that "Crossfire" will put characters' lives in jeopardy. Speculations are rife that this could mean Kate Beckett and her death.

"Castle" showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter previously discussed that they have prepared two endings for the "Castle" Season 8 finale episode, as Parent Herald reported earlier. "We are trying to leave it in a very dynamic way which leaves open the possibility that maybe the show won't come back in the same form," said Hawley.

Stana Katic wrote a brief note to her fans after it was announced that she was cut from the series. She also sent out an official statement to the press.

The "Castle" Season 8 finale episode is scheduled to air on May 16. Meanwhile, the episode this week, "Dead Again," which marks the first of the last four episodes for Stana Katic, will have Beckett and Castle (Nathan Fillion) back to their old ways.
