Many fans are already rooting for their respective teams in this "GMW" love triangle. Some are going for team "Rucas" (Riley and Lucas) while others are rooting for team "Lucaya" (Maya and Lucas).

However, a recent interview with showrunner Michael Jacobs seemingly hints that another character will be playing a major role in this love triangle in "Girl Meets World" Season 3. According to Jacobs, uncle Josh (Uriah Shelton) will be involved in several complications.

"We're going to use Josh to just add what we think is texture and growth to the other characters," he told The Wrap.

This led to speculations that the love triangle will be resolved in "Girl Meets World" Season 3 with Maya letting go of Lucas to be with Josh. As most fans and viewers know, Maya has had a crush on Josh for so long and the latter may finally realize his feelings for Maya, as he enters college.
