'GTA 6' Release Date, News & Updates: Is A Bigger Map The Cause Of Delayed Video Game Release?

The community of "GTA" gamers have been waiting in vain for the release of "GTA 6," which is the sequel of "Grand Theft Auto 5" that gained a big popularity way back in 2013. Remembering the changes applied like the great visual makeover from weapons to surroundings, "GTA 6" is surely going to more enticing.

The reports about the popular Rockstar Games' "GTA 6" have been around for quite a while and are getting interesting as days passes but still there is no definite release date provided. A website dedicated for "GTA 6" fans called GTA6GrandTheftAuto.com have their own prediction of the game release.

Basing on the release date trends, they predicted that it will be sometime in 2018. It may be frustrating for "GTA 6" fans, but this is just a prediction and who knows -- it might be released sooner.

'GTA 6' Grand Map

Rumors are saying that "GTA 6" is going to be bigger because of the larger map which is also the cause for delaying the release date. According to Ecumenical News, a rumor coming from a user on Reddit with a username VermillionDemonFox said that the "GTA 6" map is going to be a combination of all maps that are present from the first released "GTA" game to "GTA 5."

This really is an interesting rumor, which adds hype to all "GTA 6" fans and not only this, a report posted by IGN has corroborated the idea. The president of Rockstar Games, Leslie Benzies, said before, that they are planning to have a map in "GTA 6" that includes all the cities in the previous games in the game series.

New Characters In 'GTA 6'

Though it may sound so promising, still there is no confirmation coming from the publisher if this will really be applied in "GTA 6." Additional reports are saying that "GTA 6" will be the first in the series to have a female lead character that will be voiced over by Eva Mendes and a surprise male character, who could be a cop that will be voiced over by her real life sweetheart, Ryan Gosling.

"GTA 6" will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles. It will be made available in PC format, but at a later time after its release.
