Prince Legacy: The Purple One Looked For 'The Most Beautiful Girl In The World' Through Personal Ads

Prince may have gone but the "Purple Rain" legend has a full history to keep fans and music-lovers company. The Purple One posting personal ads to look for "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" are among the last memories Prince left behind.

While the idea may be incongruous now, Prince posting personal ads in search of "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" is in keeping with the "Purple Rain" star's personality. Creativity, uniqueness, humor are trademarks for Prince after all.

In a '90s news by Reuters cited by Perez Hilton, Prince placed the personal ads in 1993 to both US and international newspapers. According to Billboard, the "Little Red Corvette" singer wanted to find "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" for the holidays.

"Eligible bachelor seeks the most beautiful girl in the world to spend the holidays with," Prince wrote. The "Raspberry Beret" artist then gave further instructions in the personal ad for females, who believe they are "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World."

Respondents were told to send Prince their video or photo to his Paisley Park address. Prince was specific that "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" responding to his personal ad should be above 18.

A representative from Prince at that time clarified that the "Purple Rain" star was not holding a competition for "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World." The spokesperson promised that Prince would later on reveal his purpose for the personal ads.

Prince released the single "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" in 1994. "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" was the lead track for the album "Gold Experience," which Prince released in 1995.

Prince was married twice during his lifetime. In 1996, The Purple One married Mayte Garcia, with whom he had two children. Mirror reports that Mayte Garcia revealed that the unfortunate death of their children broke her marriage to Prince.

In 2001, Prince married Manuela Testolini. She and the "Purple Rain" artist had no children. "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" singer and Manuela Testolini divorced in 2006. Prince is survived by his siblings.
