'Bones' Season 11 Spoilers: Dangerous New Serial Killer To Taunt Team Until Season 12 [Details]

A new and dangerous serial killer is coming to "Bones" Season 11 and viewers were clued in about the character in a previous episode. Producers say his presence will bring the show to a "darker territory" and there's a possibility that this storyline will extend until Season 12.

Bones producer Michael Peterson told TV Guide that this new baddie could be like Christopher Pelant all over again. Pelant was introduced in the seventh season of "Bones," who eventually killed Special Agent Hines in Season 9. He was not completely deranged and was driven by hacktivism.

However, tracking this dangerous new serial killer will have some significant differences for the "Bones" team, which will spin the show's theme to a different path. "It's less of a thriller and more of a horror element to it than there was with Pelant. It's going to represent a different kind of danger," said Peterson.

'Bones' Season 11 Dangerous New Serial Killer Outed In July

In "Bones" Season 11 Episode 13 "The Monster in the Closet," which aired on April 28, the Jeffersonian investigated a decomposing body and found out that its killer kept and toyed with it for months before dumping it. When they discovered more bodies with the same characteristics, they decided to launch a hunt to find the culprit.

This will lead up to the episode "The Nightmare within the Nightmare," which will air in July and as the show's season finale. "If we're having fun we might go a little longer, but you can expect one more this season and one more [in Season 12]," said Peterson.

'Bones' Season 11 Episode 14 'The Last Shot At Second Chance'

Meanwhile, the latest episode of "Bones" Season 11, which will air May 5, is all about "The Last Shot At Second Chance." It will involve a felon who disappeared after being released in a halfway house. The felon has links to Booth. On the other hand, Brenna could potentially be suspended from in connection to her assaulting of an unarmed suspect in a previous case, TV Maze.
