Ke$ha leaves rehab and is 'happy to be back'

Ke$ha has left the Chicago-area rehabilitation facility that she entered in early January, and tweeted that she is 'happy to be back!'

The pop star checked into a rehab facility for an eating disorder, and Thursday, Ke$ha posted on Twitter a picture of herself on an airplane, her first tweet since Jan. 22.

Feeling in a good mood, she couldn't help but elaborate on her feelings.

"Happy to be back! Feeling healthy & working on tons of new music. I can't thank my fans enough for all the love & support u have given me," she added.

Also on a positive note, Ke$sha, born Kesha Rose Sebert, changed her Twitter handle from @keshasuxx to @KeshaRose.

The 27-year-old singer, best known for her hit songs "Tik Tok" and "We R Who We R", entered rehab on Jan. 3 for bulimia.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," Ke$ha told The Hollywood Reporter. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder ... to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am."

During her recovery period, Ke$ha kept fans updated on her goings-on, describing her treatment as "really hard work and necessary." The starlet's mother, Pebe Sebert, publicly blamed Ke$ha's longtime mentor Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald for her eating disorder; an accusation that he denies.

Ke$ha collaborated with Pitbull, her former touring partner, on the No. 1 smash "Timber." After her rehab announcement, the planned five-city tour starting in October featuring Pitbull and Ke$ha was canceled a little more than two weeks out from the first show.

The "tons of new music" Ke$ha is focusing on suggests that a follow-up to her 2012 album, Warrior, is in the works.
