Masterchef judge Graham Ellliot loses 150 pounds

Masterchef judge Graham Elliot has lost 150 pounds and showed off his impressive physical change on Instgram, according to reports.

Elliot underwent weight loss surgery in July of last year and has, since then, he has been updating his fans on his progress. Last December, he shared photos of himself to his 107,000 followers on Twitter to show his 128-pound weight loss.

Just this Friday, March 7, Elliot took to Instagram his success at losing even more weight. He posted two photos of himself alongside each other. The left photo was of himself 150 pounds heavier and on the right was a photo of himself 150 pounds lighter.

He captioned the photo: "Weight Loss Update: 150lbs, currently at 255. Thanks everyone for the continued support! #Health #Family #Life #Change."

The 37-year-old chef underwent a sleeve gastrectomy at the University of Chicago Medical Center after he ballooned to almost 400 pounds. Elliot told People: "In the past I would get stressed and ask craft services for cookies and candy. But now I know my stomach is the size of a banana and I need to have food that just gives me energy."

Graham also admitted that he previously thought it would take him two to three years to lose all the weight. He credits his weight loss success to thinking about the surgery as a stepping stone to making serious healthy lifestyle changes.

Now, he works out at least every other day and he can now run five miles. He has been requesting his dressing room on the Masterchef to be filled with almonds, dried fruit and seaweed chips instead of the usual sweets.

Elliot can now wear the same size jeans he wore during his freshman year in high school and can now fly without having to wear a seatbelt extender. "That's life changing," he told People.
