'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 2 SPOILERS: Mercedes Masohn Teases Nick And Ofelia's Romantic Relationship

The fifth episode of "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2 had once again featured another potential tender moment between Nick and Ofelia, but it could be difficult to get romantic while cleaning up Reed's blood. However, Mercedes Masohn has just teased on the possibility that Frank Dillane's Nick might end up in a relationship with Ofelia in "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2!

Nick And Ofelia Could Be FTWD's First Couple?

In "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2 Episode 5 (via Variety), Nick and Ofelia are tasked with the unsavory job of cleaning the blood up after Chris decided to shoot Reed. Although it is hard to imagine how things can get romantic from there, Mercedes Masohn hinted on a budding FTWD relationship between Nick and Ofelia. "There could be something stirring up," she told ComicBook.

"Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2 has yet to feature a possible romance between the characters. But, Mercedes Masohn believes that Nick and Ofelia could be the first FTWD couple.

"I think they're close in age, they're sort of of the same mind set, they have the same view of the world, and I think Nick is showing some interest by helping her out," she explained. "She's always had her family there before so it's the first time somebody from outside world is showing her kindness, especially at a time where she really needs that."

Is Nick Trying To Get Sweet With Ofelia?

Mercedes Masohn was quick to point out that Nick has already proven that he really cares about Ofelia in "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2. "He brought her her rosaries and got antibiotics for her when he was out on a scout and finds clothes for her," she told ComicBook about her character's potential FTWD love interest. "He's really gone above and beyond to show that he's potentially interested so we'll see how that progresses."

Nick and Ofelia might not get together yet in the first part of "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2, since there are only three episodes left before the AMC show goes on hiatus. However, there is a lot of potential that things could get romantic between Nick and Ofelia after the midseason premiere of "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2.
