‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Rumors, Release Date, News & Update: 3 Latest Scoops About Rockstar Games’ Most Beloved Game

The online realm is running abuzz with several reports teasing the latest scoops about Rockstar Games' upcoming game, "Red Dead Redemption 2." There are even reports claiming that some information leaked but the publisher has yet to confirm the speculations.

More interesting details and scoops about "Red Dead Redemption 2" have been circulating in the internet. Even though nothing has been confirmed yet, avid "Red Dead Redemption" fans are already excited about Rockstar's western action-adventure video game sequel.

In addition, "Red Dead Redemption 2" has also been rumored to be launched during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 in June. So as rumors go crazy about "Red Dead Redemption 2," here are 3 latest scoops about Rockstar Games' beloved game.

1. 'Red Dead Redemption 2,' 'Mafia III' Crossover

Following the release of the alleged "Red Dead Redemption 2" leaked map and other new details, there have also been reports about the possibility of "Mafia III" connection. With the intriguing addition of the city of New Bordeaux, a name of a "Mafia III" city, fans could see some interesting "Red Dead Redemption 2" crossover material if the rumors are indeed true.

2. No 'Red Dead Redemption 2' Announcement At E3, 'Legends Of The West' Title Fake

Despite previous reports claiming "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be announced or released at E3, latest rumors said there will be no announcement at the event. Another false report was on the reports that the upcoming sequel will be titled, "Legends of the West."

The said title was reportedly fake. Rockstar Games, however, remained mum about the speculations.

3. 'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date

As for "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date, there have been reports saying the sequel will not likely make a June launch. The reason? Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive is not fond of releasing sequels annually.

"It's tempting to have continuous releases and milk a franchise as far as you can, [but] we've seen that fatigue in other franchises in the games industry," Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick said early this year. "With almost every single franchise for us, the latest release is bigger than the one before."

Meanwhile, fans should not lose hope for "Red Dead Redemption 2" since it's been six years after the original installment was released. Perhaps, fans will just have to patiently wait for the game as a new protagonist is rumored to take the lead.
