Will 'The Winds Of Winter' Sample Chapter POV Character Arianne Martell Finally Crossover To 'Game Of Thrones' Season 6?

George R.R. Martin has finally released a new chapter from "The Winds of Winter," which is told from the point of view of "A Song of Ice and Fire" character Princess Arianne Martell of Dorne. Although Arianne is one of the most interesting ASOIAF characters, she has yet to appear in "Game of Thrones." But is it finally time for TWOW's Arianne Martell to make her debut in "Game of Thrones" Season 6?

Who Is Arianne Martell?

In "A Song of Ice and Fire," Arianne Martell is the heiress of Sunspear and Dorne's most possible candidate for the Iron Throne (before the death of Viserys Targaryen who she was supposed to wed). The eldest daughter of Doran Martell has appeared as a POV character in George R.R. Martin's books "A Feast of Crows" and "The Winds of Winter." In his new TWOW chapter (via George R.R. Martin), Arianne Martell and a few characters that don't exist in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 are sent by Doran to look for Aegon Targaryen in the Stormlands.

Will Arianne Martell Appear In "Game Of Thrones?"

The assassination of Doran and Trystane Martell in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 1 has left Dorne without an heir (via io9). The kingdom is currently under Ellaria Sand and her Sand Snakes, none of which seem fit to rule Dorne.

Would it be possible that Arianne Martell will finally be introduced in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 to bring balance to Dorne? This would be the perfect time to present yet another powerful female character in "Game of Thrones," although it would mean that Arianne Martell will be taken away from her mission in "The Winds of Winter."

Arianne Martell's "The Winds of Winter" chapter is hardly a new one, since George R.R. Martin has read it at several conventions. However, fans are still happy to speculate that the release of Arianne Martell's TWOW chapter could mean she will finally be introduced in "Game of Thrones" Season 6.

On the other hand, there are some who believe that the show is definitely taking a different route from "The Winds of Winter" (via The Atlantic). The next episode of "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will air on HBO on May 15.
