Google I/O 2016: Google Set To Introduce Its Own Virtual Reality And Artificial Intelligence

In less than 24 hours, people witness the three-day developers' conference of the number one search engine in the world, Google I/O 2016. The upcoming event will be held right around the corner of the company's headquarters in Mountain View, California and promises to unveil its latest technology such as Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.

It has been said Google I/O 2016 might be all about virtual reality but will also introduce more of Android N, Chrome OS, Project Tango and Google's Advanced Technology And Projects (ATAP). Google, too, is eyeing to venture with artificial intelligence to bring to its device, according to 9to5 Google.

Artificial Intelligence

Google might be the best fit to introduce artificial intelligence to be known by other people, Mashable reported. In fact, Google I/O 2016 has a "Machine learning office hours" segment in its official schedule, which might tackle the advancement in machine intelligence.

The said part will give details about its latest projects and gears like TensorFlow and AphaGo, Google's artificial intelligence that defeated a Go champion recently. Clearly, Google is planning to further its studies and development regarding artificial intelligence.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality will headline Google I/O 2016 by introducing a new device called Android VR, 9to5 Google added. To recall, Google launched a low, budget entry virtual reality tool materialized by a cardboard.

Today, Google is about to unveil an advanced technology of virtual reality. Peter Rojas, an expert tech journalist, revealed that Android VR is prepared to be presented as an exclusive, standalone headset that won't need a smartphone to work.

The Analysts Findings About Android VR

However, Peter Rojas added that the upcoming Android VR will be not as vigorous compared to Vive or Rift. But, Android VR can give its users a much better virtual reality experience than the Gear VR.

"This year's focus will be virtual reality, no doubt," Jeff Kagan, an analyst, said, as per Computerworld. "I believe Google wants to be a leader in virtual reality and, in this marketplace where there are no leaders yet, I think they will try and secure their place in the front of the line."
