Fisher-Price’s ‘A Film By You’ Campaign Poignantly Captures Children’s First 5-Year Journey Of Life And The Importance Of Play In Child Development [VIDEO]

Have you ever wondered what life can be in the eyes of young children? Well, wonder no more because toy company Fisher-Price has released a 1-minute short film campaign showing the first 5-year journey of a child's life in his or her own perspective.

The world is big and scary for 5-year-old kids. But letting them experience the magical realm of childhood through playing can help them learn and grow in the different aspects of life.

In Fisher-Price's new digital and social initiative called "A Film By You," the company's Global Brands EVP Jean McKenzie explained the film aims to celebrate parents who are key to unlocking their kid's exceptional potential through play. The film also showed the significance of play in child development.

"Giving children time to play culminates in a joyful childhood experience and, importantly, leads to healthy development," McKenzie said in a statement. "Engaging in playful interaction, starting from birth, helps children build cognitive skills, confidence, social bonds, and many other growth aspects that get them ready for that first day of school."

Meanwhile, Fisher-Price's short film titled, "A Film By You," which has gained over 2.8 million views on YouTube, also aims to give parents a bit of reassurance, especially when they are worried about their child's preparedness for school. It also gave a glimpse of how kids enjoyed the process of learning about the real world through playing as parents watched their growth and development from afar.

"Seeing all of these moments inspired us to create a very special film, beautifully told through the eyes of a child," Fisher-Price video caption read. "This film has a lot of love in it... we hope you love it, too. #FilmByYou"
