Selena Gomez fires her manager parents

Selena Gomez fired her manager parents last month, sources confirmed.

Gomez, 21, has reportedly outgrown her parents - mother Mandy Teefey and stepfather Brian Teefey, according to TMZ, and is searching for more professional representation.

"They don't have any control over her. She's pulling the, 'Who makes the money around here?' card," according to MailOnline.

Her parents have been managing her career ever since she got her big break on Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place," but has decided to part ways after seven years.

The "Come and Get It" singer has argued over her career choices - and her on-again off-again relationship with Justin Bieber - with her parents, but sources say this is not the reason for the professional separation. Gomez reportedly remains close with her parents, though they are not thrilled with her decision.

One potential replacement is Katy Perry's manager, Bradford Cobb, another source told E! News.

The news coincides with Gomez's return from Miami after reuniting with beau Bieber. The starlet was spotted at the Miami airport Thursday flying back to Los Angeles.

The Teefeys are "vehemently opposed" to the couple getting back together and are "doing their best to supervise them."

Gomez's parents, insiders say, blame the Biebs for their former child star's recent stint in rehab.

The "Spring Breakers" actress spent two weeks at the Dawn At The Meadows recovery center in Arizona starting January 5. The facility treats people aged 18 to 26 who are "struggling with emotional trauma, addiction or dual diagnosis concerns."

Her representative told MailOnline: "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but NOT for substance abuse."

However, TMZ reported that her stay was "for a combination of problems, including alcohol, pot and prescription Ambien."

Gomez at the time even blamed her then ex-boyfriend for her troubles - Bieber had traces of alcohol, Xanax and marijuana in his system upon his Miami arrest in January for DUI and drag racing.
