‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ Release Date, News & Update: Skyrim Sequel In Black Marsh? Bethesda Patents Argonia?

Developer Bethesda Game Studios will set "The Elder Scrolls 6" in the Black Marsh, according to gaming mill. Although confirmation at E3 2016 is speculation for now, "The Elder Scrolls" is definitely up-and-coming.

Citing Digital Spy, Bethesda will likely mine Black Marsh for "The Elder Scrolls 6". The supposition being that the follow-up to "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" will logically venture into unknown/un-used territory in Tamriel.

Black Marsh ranks up slightly above Valenwood and Elsweyr as location choice for "The Elder Scrolls 6". NSEA reports that the name Argonia has been patented by Bethesda presumably for "The Elder Scrolls 6".

This caused buzz that the reptilian Argonians inhabiting the Black Marsh will be a focus in "The Elder Scrolls 6". This also led to speculations that the "Skyrim" sequel will likely be named "The Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia."

Digital Spy also points out that even if "The Elder Scrolls 6" release date is predicted for 2019, Bethesda Game Studios is working to build up manpower. Specifically, job ads by Bethesda are looking for a Quest Designer, who is required to have an experience on Bethesda's "The Elder Scrolls" Construction Set.

Anticipation over "The Elder Scrolls 6" is unsurprising considering that Skyrim soared in sales above other iterations in the series. "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" currently occupies the spot number 14 in Steam ranking and is right behind fellow Bethesda game "Fallout 4" as far as popularity goes.

This is as expected given the meticulous attention Bethesda dedicates to "The Elder Scrolls" series. During "The Elder Scrolls" Online launch PR and Marketing Vice President Pete Hines highlighted that Bethesda refuses to rush "Skyrim" sequels.

Hines pointed out that other publishers would have done much less. Hines essentially committed publicly that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be developed with as much care as the very first Bethesda iteration of the franchise.

Speculation notwithstanding E3 2016 is worth checking out for "The Elder Scrolls 6" updates. Whether as "The Elder Scrolls 6: Argonia" or by another name, the new Bethesda game is largely believed to be worth the wait.
