Suicide Squad' News & Update: Ben Affleck's Batman Appearance Could Deal With Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Will Smith's Deadshot

There is little doubt that Ben Affleck will reprise his role as Batman in "Suicide Squad," but it looks like the Caped Crusader will not be dealing with the entire Task Force X. A new report has revealed that Batman's scenes in "Suicide Squad" will feature interactions with Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn as well as Will Smith's Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot!

Batman Vs Harley Quinn And The Joker

The latest "Suicide Squad" Blitz trailer has featured new footage of Batman, who appears to be riding on the roof of The Joker's car as he tries to escape with Harley Quinn. The trailer also shows that The Joker's car actually ends up in a river, and Batman News has just confirmed that the Dark Knight actually saves Harley Quinn from the doomed car. Although fans are hoping that there will be an epic showdown between Batman and Jared Leto's Joker in "Suicide Squad," the scene will not feature any interaction between the two characters. Perhaps a Batman v Joker scene is being saved for Ben Affleck's recently confirmed "Batman" film.

Batman And Deadshot Get "Emotional"

Harley Quinn isn't the only member of the Suicide Squad who will get some screentime with Batman. According to Batman News, Will Smith's Deadshot is getting two "Suicide Squad" scenes with the Caped Crusader, one of which is being described as "emotional." Will Batman and Deadshot finally get past their differences? The "emotional" scene may have a lot to do with Deadshot's other screen time with Batman, which will appear as a flashback for Floyd Lawton.

Could Batman Return In "Suicide Squad 2?"

Is there any possibility that Batman will take on the Suicide Squad like he did in the "Batman: Arkham" video games? Although it might not be happening in "Suicide Squad" just yet, fans are hoping that a sequel will feature a longer appearance from Batman. After all, Amanda Waller couldn't have rounded up Task Force X if Batman had not caught the criminals in the first place.

"Suicide Squad" is directed by David Ayer and also stars Cara Delevingne as Enchantress. The film will finally hit theaters on August 5.
