'Arrow' Crossover With 'Supergirl,' 'The Flash' & 'Legends Of Tomorrow' A Musical? NEVER, Says Star Who Nixes Singing

The CW is said to be planning an ambitious four-way crossover among its superhero shows, "Arrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow" next season. There's a strong buzz among fans that it could be a musical episode given the talents of the cast. However, one star is already nixing the idea, saying he will definitely not be doing it should the network decide they must sing and dance.

Stephen Amell of "Arrow" said that he's never going to be part of a musical crossover between "The Flash," "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow." He believes he can make the call since his show is the senior show of all four. "I draw the line at musical," he told MTV.

It's no surprise that fans are clamoring for a musical episode since majority of the cast members of the fours show have musical backgrounds. Melissa Benoist ("Supergirl") and Grant Gustin ("The Flash) have worked on the set of "Glee." "The Flash" supporting cast Jesse L. Martin, Carlos Valdes and Andy Mientus, and "Supergirl" supporting cast Chyler Leigh and Jeremy Jordan, are also gifted singers. Among the "Legends of Tomorrow" cast, Victor Garber and Ciara Renee are known singers as well. John Barrowman from "Arrow" can carry a tune, too, per Cinema Blend. Their talents would make for an exciting and entertainment production.

But Stephen Amell still won't have it if The CW wants "Arrow" to be part of a four-way musical treat. "Arrow was set up as a very specific thing, and it's up to us to do what we do," he added to MTV. He believes that this excitement about the crossovers due to "Supergirl's" move on the network will settle down eventually.  Thus, it will allow everyone who works on the shows to focus on what they do best. Focusing means no silly musical ideas will spring up at the writer's room.

Stephen Amell also said that it was already a challenge to mount the "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossovers in the past, while mixing some characters from "Legends of Tomorrow." The addition of "Supergirl" brings, even more, challenges for doing crossovers.

The actor is actually "dumbfounded" at the thought of a four-show crossover, so why would the writers and producers make it even harder by making it a musical? But in case you're curious, Stephen Amell can actually sing. Watch the video below:
