'Five Nights at Freddy's' Movie Release Date, News & Update: Film Will Not Be Available Until June 2018; Script Still In The Works

"Five Nights at Freddy's" success as a horror-survival video game has yielded it a book and movie adaptation. Fans are now waiting for the film to hit the big screens but it seems that there is no progress for quite a while now. According to new reports, the "FNAF" film will not be available until two years from now.

'Five Nights At Freddy's' Film Out In June 2018

There is no doubt that fans are looking forward to seeing the terrifying animatronics dominate the big screens. Unfortunately, it might take another two years to materialize the anticipated horror flick. According to Christian Today, the "FNAF" movie will not be available two years from now.

The "Five Nights at Freddy's" IMDB page revealed that the anticipated "FNAF" movie adaptation will be released in June 2018. This means that it will take a long while before fans see the terrifying animatronics on the big screens.

Per the report, fans are worried that the show is dismissed. However, the "Five Nights at Freddy's" creator has assured fans that the film is already in development. "The script is still being worked on. The people involved are taking the movie seriously, which is definitely a good thing!" Cawthon wrote on Steam."

'Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location' Characters To Appear In The 'FNAF Movie

Parent Herald previously reported that there are chances that the characters in "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" will appear in the "FNAF" film. Per the Bitbag, since the "Five Nights at Freddy's" film and "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" are developed at about the same time with the new game overtaking the pace of the film's development it would be great to feature the new animatronics in the upcoming film.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, the characters in "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" include Ballora, Funtime Freddy and Baby. Ballora has sharp teeth while Funtime Freddy keeps a Bonnie puppet on his hand. Meanwhile, Baby is the most intriguing character among the three. She is featured in Scott Cawthon's website when the "FNAF" creator teases about the game.
