New Hampshire Fire Kills two Adults, two Children; 30 More Displaced

Two children were among the casualties in a fire in Manchester, New Hampshire as well as their parents and 30 more people were displaced.

According to the reports, it was the worst fire in the last 10 years. The fire broke out on Monday at 5 A.M. and the Manchester Fire Department issued a four-alarm during the incident. The identities of the victims have not been revealed yet.

District Chief Mike Gamarsh said in a statement that when they arrived, the second and third floor of the apartment were involved fully and that people were in the street saying that others were trapped. Firefighters were able to pull out two bodies but they had to retreat as the fire advanced quickly. They went back inside after five or six minutes and found two other people. All the four bodies retrieved were from the second floor of the apartment.

New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan released a statement saying that the fire was a terrible tragedy. She also thanked the firefighters who risked their lives to try and save the people. The investigation into the fire continues, Boston Herald reported.

A man running the Manchester ROCA Kidz Club, named Josh Wintle, said that the two children were awesome and that they attended the club together. Wintle pointed out that the boys were always together and were always happy. Another family friend, named Jimmy Day, knew the family for 17 years. He said that the children were very nice and that the parents were good.

The Manchester Fire Department and the New Hampshire Fire Marshal's Office are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the deadly fire.

Accordingly, two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene but the two others were still brought to Elliot Hospital. However, they succumbed to their injuries after. It remains unclear how old the children are and what their genders are.
