Ellen DeGeneres and wife, Portia De Rossi are plagued with divorce rumors. The "Ellen DeGeneres Show" host has already denied the rumors that they already split but the split rumors continue. According to new reports, De Rossi is divorcing DeGeneres because she wants kids.

In an interview with the Adviser, DeGeneres was asked if she and her wife regret not having any children. Although they have talked about it, they are at peace with their choice of not having their own little ones.

"No. We talked about it for a minute, about four years into the relationship, but we just decided we like our conversations not being interrupted and our furniture without sticky grape juice on it," DeGeneres said.

Ellen DeGeneres also explained that given their profession, having kids would be a struggle as their little ones have to share their parents to the world. In fact, she observed this every time she is out with her nieces.

"I even see it with my nieces. When we're out in public and people want to talk to me they're like, 'Why does everybody want your time? Why aren't you just with me?" she explained.

Portia De Rossi Leaving Ellen DeGeneres To Have Kids

However, a recent report claimed otherwise. CelebDirtyLaundry reported that Portia De Rossi is splitting with Ellen DeGeneres because she wants to build a family. De Rossi wants to have her dream family and kids of her own.

"Portia has always dreamed of becoming a mother and desperately wants to try to carry the child herself," one source told In Touch Weekly. "But Ellen is absolutely opposed to it. Portia first brought up the topic in an attempt to save their crumbling eight-year marriage. But all it's done is tear the couple further apart."

The source added that no matter how many times Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres discuss the matter they can't get to agree. For this reason, many are concerned that the pair will eventually split.
