'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13 News & Updates: Meredith, Alex And Riggs In A Possible Love Triangle?

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 is not lagging behind in terms of incorporating new plotlines to keep the legacy afloat. It appears that love would be one of the dominating scenes in the upcoming new season.

Marriages and dating are among the elements that would be seen once "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 returns on the limelight. On Season 12 finale, Meredith and Riggs are seen flirting with each other and a possibility that their love story will continue on "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. 

Unreality TV reports that "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 executive producer Betsy Beers has rendered some spoilers indicating that Meredith and Riggs sudden connection, might become more of a serious relationship. Beers also teased that Meredith's new love interests might not only be Riggs but Alex too.

Based on the teasers offered by Beers, the fans and followers are wondering to what kind of life Meredith would have in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. Many are speculating that a love triangle might actually occur between Alex and Riggs.

However, it remains unsettled on whether Alex would keep on or letting the relationship slide with Meredith and just go back to Jo. As for Riggs, his character and future with Meredith remains flustered on the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

On a different note, while Meredith's role is confirmed in the next sequel of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. Other characters have affirmed their contracts as well. According to UPI, Chandra Wilson, Justin Chambers, James Pickens, Jr., and Kevin McKidd, who play Miranda Bailey, Alex Karev, Richard Webber and Owen Hunt, have been given new contracts with the ABC medical drama. "The audience truly identifies with Ellen Pompeo," series creator Shonda Rimes said. "We are following this woman's journey and the journey of all these people with her."

For the fans and followers of "Grey's Anatomy," the medical series would be renewed for a 13th season this fall.
