Parents Take Note: There is More To Success Than The Money You Make For Your Kids

Parents go through all the lengths for their children. They put their kids into the best schools, and the best extracurricular activities be it piano lessons, a second language class or sports clinic where in they believe would bring their kids success in life.

Any parent would agree that if asked the question if they want their kids to be successful the answer would be a resounding yes. Any parent would be proud to have a kid who one day will earn a lot in whatever livelihood they engage in when they turn into adults. However there is more to success than earning a hefty amount of money, and the secret is this little secret!

According to Business Insider, all the things that we involve our kids in, while it is good for their minds and well-being, may not necessarily be the best kept secret to our child's success in the future. The secret is simply by reading books. A much more affordable alternative, than any of those expensive options that you could think of.

The Researcher Economist of University of Padova in Italy, reported that they made a study of 5,820 men with the goal of trying to find out if extra education adds to one's earning potential and it did. Men who had extra education earned more by 9% according to the study.

Another data found by the researchers is that kids who read more and had 10 more non-school books at home tend to double their earning advantage in their lifetime by 21%. It doesn't even matter what their parents do for a living or how rich or poor they are. The more books kids read the better income potential can be acquired when they've grown up and settle down on their own.

If this article inspires you to bring or welcome more books into your home, take note also that having a library inside your house will not necessarily mean your kids will be successful in life. It is in making a habit out of reading and learning things that schools do not teach that brings success especially when they are applied in real life scenarios.
