‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ Latest News & Updates: Full Release Delayed Again? Studio Wildcard Still Targeting Simultaneous Winter 2016 Launch

Studio Wildcard has already announced that the release date for "ARK: Survival Evolved" has been moved to a much later date during the holiday season of this year instead of its initial planned full launch this month. According to the game developers, the release date was delayed because they plan to enhance the game's content with more thrilling and enjoyable features.

 'ARK: Survival Evolved' Full Release Date Confirmed!

During the E3 2016 event in Los Angeles, Rapczak reportedly confirmed "ARK: Survival Evolved" full release during the winter season. According to WCCFTECH, Studio Wildcard will simultaneously launch "ARK: Survival Evolved" on all gaming platforms such as Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

"We're still shooting for a winter launch," Rapczak said. "We don't know the final date yet as it depends on certification, we are still planning to launch simultaneously on all platforms."

No Hope For 'ARK: Survival Evolved' PlayStation VR Version?

At the E3 2016 event, Studio Wildcard has been mum regarding the possibility of "ARK: Survival Evolved" PlayStation VR version. However, there's still a great chance for the said version to be launched and Studio Wildcard will reportedly reveal more details in the coming months.

"We haven't really changed our plans for PSVR, we're still planning to do that," Rapczak added. "We should be announcing some stuff pretty soon, with PSVR getting close to launch. We definitely want to be part of all the good stuff happening there."

'ARK: Survival Evolved' Official Mods Release Date And Details

Meanwhile, there are two official mods coming in "ARK: Survival Evolved" later this year. In fact, another GameSpot report reveals the game's "Primitive+" mod will be released on July 28 on PC and Xbox One, adding more role-playing features.

"ARK: Primal Survival," however, will be launched into "ARK: Survival Evolved" later this year. The mod will allow players to control animals and experience full survival mechanics and lifecycles in the "ARK" community, Kotaku notes.

'ARK: Survival Evolved' Is Studio Wildcard's Most Successful Game

It's been a year since Studio Wildcard released "ARK: Survival Evolved" on Steam Early Access. As a matter of fact, Studio Wildcard recently celebrated the game's first anniversary with the game's 242 patch, as previously reported.

Considered as one of the most successful games of Studio Wildcard to date, "ARK: Survival Evolved" has more than 3 million owners, SteamSpy reveals. As for the Xbox One Game Preview, the player count has exceeded the daily player count on PC.
